About EGC

Extreme Games Challenge (EGC) is an exciting new agility challenge developed by NADAC that emphasizes on directing your dog through an agility course comprised of only ground obstacles (tunnels, hoops, gates, and barrels). There are three EGC games you can play: Extreme Gators, Extreme Chances, and Extreme Hoopers. Extreme Chances courses are comprised of tunnels, barrels, hoops and gates. Extreme Gators courses are a combination of tunnels, barrels and gates with hoops for the start and finish. Extreme Hoopers courses are a combination of a numbered Hoopers course with a hoop/gate circle as a distance challenge on the course. Each of the games are based on and played like similarly named NADAC games, with the only exception being the inclusion of gate obstacles on the course. The handler’s job to is to direct their dog through hoops, tunnels, barrels and around gates on course. Courses are fun, fast, and exciting!

These games are separate from the other NADAC agility games with their own titling requirements (i.e., so points accumulated in the EGC games do not count towards titling in non-EGC games). There are three titling levels (Novice/Open/Elite).

Scoring for EGC is based on your dog's time on course + faults. This is used to compute points that earn for your run and those points accumulate to earn titles. One of the great things about EGC is that if your team takes a fault (ex., off-course, failure to correctly perform obstacle), you can still earn points for your run--so if you make a mistake, don't try to fix it, keep going but go faster to off-set your fault. These games are all about pathwork and showing your dog where to go--not about obstacle performance--and you have to handle your dog through the entire course. It is such a blast to play, you and your dog are gonna love it!
